do me a favor and never post about vaporwave when youre out here posting synthwave shit. Saying that retrowave is a subsection of vaporwave massacred all credibility you had on the subject as well as the pics you posted. There is next to no overlap in the music of vapor and synth. The most they have is that they are electronic and tie to old shit. looking through the thread the shit you say doesnt do shit but make the ones who know what they are talking about look like asshats

I asked about vaporwave and fashion here somewhere around 6 months ago here is the real answer i found myself. Vaporwave fashion is just vintage 90/80 fashion (but on a surface level). Just like the split in Techwear/milspo type stuff and other fashion genre's there are different feels that you want for certain subgenres and shit. The most entry level and widely known vaporwave is Vektroid/classic vaporwave

>aka the ones when you think of the word aesthetic and soft pastel colors with tropic details and teal/pink wireframes
>the easiest one to produce and therefore most prevelant on music platforms
there is nothing wrong with liking this but the entire style of it is based on a culture that has run its course and is kind of dated so on the bright side it is easy to find stuff like>>14473746 >>14473250
artsy capitalist suburbia was pretty hip so stuff aint hard to find.
For each subsection you'll find shit that can drastically differ:
>Solo jazz cup pattern, product refferences, and anime chicks are more associated with the more bloated late classical, "sadboy" vaporwave fusion type stuff, and slightly future funk
>Preppy stuff, casual housewear, and business casual usually show future funk/ more pop hypnagogic stuff
>Streetwear, Deepweb-core, milspo is usually associated with hard vapor, vaportrap/hiphop
>Techwear/ Urban casual/ slight milspo/ grunge usually shows dreampunk and deep/garage house type stuff
