OP, benzoyl peroxide and accutane are the only two treatments for acne out there that are worth any time. Getting better sleep will also help. Everything else is pseudoscience and bullshit. I am telling you this as someone who has suffered from acne for 6 years and has tried literally everything.

I highly recommend benzoyl peroxide washes over the cream that you let sit on your face. You let it sit for a minute or two and then wash it all off. It's minimally drying, but very effective if you're willing to do it for a week or two before you see results.

It's NOT meant for scar treatment, as others have already said. It's best used as a preventative measure. You can also dry out existing zits with it.
