Currently listening to a lot of dungeon synth whilst taking benzos.

Not really 'niche' so much as it is underrated I guess but Encre Noire by Lalique is really dark. Probably one of your best bets. Has been called a not as good version of Chanel Sycamore from their Les Exclusives collection - haven't smelled Sycamore so can't comment from personal experience but it gets said a lot so there must be something to it.

Black Afgano by Nasomatto - doesn't get much darker or more unique than this but is perhaps to loud and aggressive to qualify as meditative. You may or may not be able to get it to work for you, but regardless, is definitely worth a sniff though.

Patchouli Absolute by Tom Ford is quite dark and has a sedentary, melancholy, dirty characteristic to it.
