So my impression of the defender

First of all, it's shorter and wider than it looks. You'll sink into the shoe and it doesn't boost your height like the triple s or the crocs

Second the materials have an unpleasant texture like they've been put the some kind of chemical wash. They feel tacky and chalky. The outsole in particular feels like an actual tire. The laces are the same cheap garbage Balenciaga uses on the track sneakers. They start pilling almost immediately. The upper is from the expander, it's a lot of glued plastic, not my favorite.

On the feet they're surprisingly comfy. I walked around in two different sizes and both felt fine

Color wise the champagne is more interesting, but the black really shows that chalk detailing, and you can always add more yourself. Champagne doesn't really show it, not enough contrast

Also the whole shoe is distressed with steel comb brushes and thread rippers. It's not a bad effect but to me it just feels a little too coarse
