I don't disagree with either of you, as it's mostly dependent on context what you do with an all black fit.

You're right though in that the black hides some of the more interesting details though it's also due in part to the contrast of my camera. You can't really see some of the finer details like the bumpy weave of the cardigan and the ribbing, the silk slub and drape lines all over the shirt, or the cut panels and distressing all over the jacquard woven denim, and especially not the fact that the sneakers are covered in a fine calf hair.

There's always more to a fit than you can immediately see in a quick photo.
