This is categorically wrong and criminally misinformed. Armhole sizing has nothing to do with the back fit. Armholes must be high, tight and snugly fitted under the arms or you're going to have compromised comfort and greatly reduced mobility.

Structured jackets are the way to go for twinks. Note that structured does not mean boxy meme-powersuits from the 80's, but rather a moderate-heavy interlining and appropriate padding on the shoulders.
