people just think it is because of television.
i've been working in a kitchen for ten years now, and in all honesty being a chef is shit.
you work long days with shit pay in horrible conditions.
you're never fast/good/whatever enough for your head chef
and at the end of your sixteen hour day at work you get to clean the whole kitchen from floor to ceiling.
every.
day.
and i mean every day, you work 6-7 days a week, 51 weeks a year.

it's an awful job.
but i fucking love it.

workaholism is a sign of depression.
so i'd go for the hard worker.
