OP get a cheap used Sewing Machine from a pawnshop or Craigs List/ Kijiji for under $50 and just buy cheap shit from places like Aliexpress/ DH Gate, H&M, Zara, Asos, and Check out Thrift Stores to find the occasional gold nugget esp when you get a sewing machine, you can buy super cheap baggy thrift pants and clothes, and tailor them into something that looks nice and costs less than $5/$10..

For godsakes I went to EVERY SINGLE DollarTree in my city and bought almost EVERY SINGLE T-shirt.

Why? Because EACH shirt was $1.25 which means I got almost 100 Black/ Olive/ White/Lunar Orange/ Navy Blue, shirts for around $100 and they fit pretty well and the quality is pretty good for a $1 dollar shirt, and I bought the baggy ones they had becuase I could tailor them into something more fitted but elongated and its cheaper than buying fabric

Just cause you're a broke college student doesnt mean you have to look like a bum nor does it mean you have to spend an arm and a leg to get cool or nice looking clothes, it's all about the design and are you willing to make fits with it or tailor it into something that's nice

Imagine a thread you love going to that is interesting and inspiring and is fun to browse and lurk and post in, and you've been going to them for yrs..

Then he tried doing it in my fucking LunarCore threads and MY GOD that's one fucking place you dont fuck with, those are some of the last cool or interesting threads left and I'll be damned if hes gonna try to throw on some ww2 soldiers outfit verbatim and post in my fucking lunarcore threads, literally everyone booed him out like expected for trying to cross shitpost as if taking over one niche thread wasnt good enough or something.

I don't think lunarcore is as bright and peachy as you make out, theres quite a few sub genres of lunar that are depressing grungey utilitarian futures of lunar, like deadfuture/milspo/giger etc.

It sortve depends on what sci-fi movie/game, etc, you draw inspo from, where as with cyberpunk there isn't too much deviation from the typical material/themes

It seems your vision of lunarcore is just milsurp sci fi rogue, ala rogue one cosplay. Perhaps you should come up with a name for it and start your own general? I mean here in this classic infographic we have orange and gold in the mood board colors. Lunarcores main inspiration is actual astronauts NASA and the near future visions of the 70s and 80s. Not the fantasy sci fi action shit you are posting. nothing from that picture says lunarcore to me. Lunarcore isn't space military it is space trucker like Alien or space mechanics miners etc like outland.

There is no definitive marker of 'spacecore'. The style itself is rooted in choosing garments that fit a specific feeling, thus forcing the wearer to mine various designers for unifying threads and in doing so reject the vision offered to them as consumers. The unifying thread is retrofuturism, but could just as well be post apocalyptic cowboys as far as the ethos is concerned. What we are doing is using pre-existing products to make a non-existent statement.
