What are some DO's and DON'T's of graphic t-shirts?

I pretty much always wear a white undershirt which most people never see except for maybe glimpses of the collar sticking out of my outer wear.

I wanted to put a masonic, simplistic emblem on the chest region. Don't have pics of it, so use your imagination.

Again, not something a LOT of people will see it's more for myself, but I don't want to look tacky if people do see it.
