Gentlemen, what should I ask for to get this cut? I showed them the pic last time and got something solid, but it doesn't look anything like this. You have my gratitude.

Well what do you want to grow it out into? That decides how you should get it cut.
You probably should just get the top cut to allow the sides to catch up and blend in. Or if you want to keep the top length then just wait and let the sides grow out while getting a slight touch up on top periodically. That's what I've been doing, same situation.

Hair doesn't grow back thicker. But I have a similar problem from my Mediterranean ancestors. What I do is use clippers to keep body hair to an appropriate length. Below the knee gets a 3, above the knee legs and forearms are a two, upper arms and crotch get a one. Have fun. Whole process takes about an hour every two weeks.

Volume is an easy fix with a blowdrier and product. I've been a big fan of shorter undercuts recently. You could try pic related. Ronaldo always has the same cut but can style it a million ways depending on the occasion.

Yeah, but I just find it real stressful. I've got very full but fine hair and I'm paranoid about going bald, seeing all those hairs stuck to my hands is a bit too much for me.

I'm also thinking of going shorter and more blended with the undercut, like Ronaldo.
