Like there was an interview released earlier this week where Rick talked about his childhood upbringing as a only child and how he finds this to have a significant impact on his creative development. That it made him have to imagine scenarios more intensely to entertain himself. Because he was alone in the middle of shit fuck no where america.

I thought that was interesting, the impact of isolation on creative development and how his work has been a product of that. Crafting his own neurotic creative lapses.
