Ah man that's cool, it's held up a long while too!
My mam just started and all she's knitted me is a couple of hats, this is her first one, it's pretty pale, but I only wear it whe I'm around her because slouchy hats aren't my thing. But I'm super grateful for it and she's knitted my sister a couple of sweaters and they're great and fit her really well, so I'm refusing to buy any from now on on the principle that my mam will feel like I've betrayed her by buying what she would have been happy to make for me!
