The basic nature of hyped fashion allows for lazy and low quality trash to become popular, just look at VLONE and A.S.S.C. Additionally, a lot of people who buy hyped clothing only do sp because it's hyped and they often don't have the body or wardrobe to pull it off (ex. Pic related).
