My tastes tend to the mature, but many lavender forward scents just scream "old man" to me, like Caron's 3rd Man and Pour un Homme. Many classic lavender scents use a more soft, powdery kind of lavender, but Agua Lavanda uses the more bracing, sharp kind. The only other lavender based fragrance I have found that I really like is Chanel Pour Monsieur Concentrée, and that is a good year-rounder.

FG's Wonderwood page has many instances of the word powdery. Not that that's necessarily bad, but it is not an aspect I personally enjoy in my fragrances. Perhaps I am sensitive but it makes my nose feel like I am breathing a cloud of baby powder.
