Couldn't put it better myself, newrich twenty years olds with twig wrists or 40 years olds in convertibles with their divers look laughable all the way. It's a show off from people who don't know about watches for people who don't know about watches, just because it draws attention.

It's not that hard to find, many mid range brands make watches with clear face that are really nice. Up from the higher brands, anyone who knows about watches when seeing a simple Blancpain or Patek will know it costs a fucking house without the tackiness.
