It seems busy, I suppose. Some may say it is the worst of both instead of the best of both.

I'd like to say so, but you can romanticize both ends. A digital watch is so utilitarian and performant, and a mechanical watch - old, or traditional, not reliant on electricity so it feels as if you're in control, and feels like, because its all mechanical power, moreso human and not the cold, modern digital watch, maybe. They can both are appealing in their own way, maybe like a manual transmission.
I like the idea that, every morning, you wind your watch, like a 30 second ritual, just to bring you down to earth and make you conscientious of time, but the idea that I never worry about the digital watch is appealing as well. Do you need a watch which is accurate to 10 seconds per month instead of per day? I doubt it, but it is one less thing to worry about, and it is a watch; saving time should be a priority. I know that this is /fa/ and the focus is the aesthetics, though. I wish we had properly handsome digital watches. They all seem to automatically place you into some kind of utilitarian camp and I'm not sure that must be the case.
Maybe I'll end up with a mechanical watch. I'd love a mechanical watch which can last for a long time without maintenance.
