You don't take the time to be grateful for your existence, you aren't learning anything truly exciting or perhaps your life is too easy and you find yourself drifting into a sated apathy.
You could just be lacking a sense of wonder and hope, or maybe you're clinically depressed.

Start by making small changes, whether it's making your bed, taking a shower or whatever small task you'd love to put off but know that you shouldn't. If you have the day off, why not force yourself to go to a sunny park bench, read a book and enjoy a cup of coffee? Turn off your cellphone and try to pay attention to the world around you. Don't draw any conclusions about it, and stop yourself from passing judgements. Just go out, experience the world and its people and regard it all as objectively as possible. Submerge yourself in the experience of living, and your apathy will pass (assuming it's not rooted in physiology). Exercise helps a lot.
