I'm a 5'5 110lbs grill and started attending body toning and body pump classes about a month ago at a women only gym. I do it only once a week and for now it's the only way to get my ass up and do something. I do small weights and am still trying to get hang of things but I'm generally feeling much more better: I'm less tired and I actually get shit done. If you got a friend who goes to a gym, ask them if you can tag along (most gyms where I live let you take a friend and introduce them to the gym, they'll take your info at the desk and call you later, wanting to sell you the membership) and show you the ropes. Personally I prefer the classes over gym, I kinda like the "drill sergeant"-esque aspect of having an instructor telling you what to do.
