desu it looks more like you just got a shitty buzz cut and not that buzzes don't work for you.

Find a better barber and ask for a military regulation comb-over if you're truly against buzzes though. Its a good temporary look for your short hair and you'll be able to grow it out to something you find more suitable

Also I'm assuming your hair sticks out on the sides for the first two months since you're asian so get that pomade ready when it grows out

Yeah, you could go for that, my suggestion was more so you could grow it out less awkwardly since your hair is all uniform length and it makes it look weird.
