its actually surprisingly easy if your pants already fit kinda how you want them to

you simply just mark how much you want to take off at the hem(if you take of too much it will look weird but 1-1.5 maybe 2 inches will be fine) and use a ruler or something to draw a line like pic related to the knee.

if you have a sewing machine this can be done in no time at all, but if you dont you can actually do it by hand(i did it by hand because my sewing machine broke)
