Got it done. She told me that a texturizing spray is a good idea but not totally necessary. Find a matte-finish product and apply it when damp ALL over the hair, not just on the top/front. This helps to keep it from shifting any part you've made and from poofing out on the sides. I wound up showing her the pics, and was kind of embarrassed by it, but she did a solid job, so swallow the pride and show those pics if you want it
