That's the point. I love my G-Shocks but there's no way I'm paying $1500 for a basic module and a titanium bezel+bracelet. The 5610 is my favorite model because it's completely carefree for me, it can sinc with the multiband signal no problem, and the dimensions fit my thin wrist better. And I actually like the assymetry. With the titanium mod it feels perfect, I'm really satisfied with it.

Of course it's great, but I don't see any reason to not get a solar powered 5610 series. The peace of mind alone is worth the few extra dollars, ans the look ils actually closer to the original 1983 G-shock if you dig it. Sure the 5600 has a few more features (like clock still displaying while using the chrono) that may or may not be useful to you, and some people can't profit from the multiband function depending on where they live, but if those points don't matter to you, go for the 5610. Here's mine with a titanium band and bezel.
