You can do it man. I started around the same. It's taken me a while, but I'm much better off.

I ate way more calories when I firts started though. Like 1800kcal when you first start will cause you to drop like a rock like I did originally. Of course if you want to eat less you can, but, just make sure you can keep it up. Even if you eat very little, this is a long term thing starting from over 215-lbs.
