/fa/ will hate it because this board is predominantly composed of impressionable teenagers trying to substitute their lack of personality and self identity through clothing and other material possessions. Just look at the WAYWT threads. At this age most kids are also going through their "edgy" phase where it becomes cool to hate/mock anything that doesn't fit within society's traditional expectations of what's normal. That's why this board has been shit since around 2014, 4chan got infested with normies and it turned into Reddit 2.0.

Back in 2011 you could regularly find legitimate discussion about fashion design philosophy. Fits like the one OP posted would have been praised for pushing boundaries and experimenting. You can't throw a bunch Zumiez hoodie wearing high schoolers into the mix and not expect the discussion to suffer tremendously.
