>it opens more heavily with lavender and dries down into an amber accord instead of pure vanilla
that sounds great, thanks for the rec! lavender is by far my favourite note so i'll keep an eye out

honestly, as much as I like NYI, it does feel almost redundant with lalique pour homme
i got the sample of NYI first, loved it so much I bought a 30ml bottle but then blind bought lalique pour homme
i love the opening of lalique, its redolent of my favourite shaving soap (martin du candre) with only the lightest citrus - i feel the salient bergamote note makes the opening of nyi feel brighter - but they both dry down quite similar
that said, i'm not mad at having both and consider "NYI" a more refined fragrance and save it for special occasions, which is a nice association to have in itself

screenshot of fragrantica, all my bottles are lined up on a dark shelf in my closet, so the picture wouldn't be as aestheticly pleasing as >>18001873 and i cbf to take everything out and stage it for a photo

here, chanel is only sold through their own stores and kiosks at the two biggest department stores. even on boxing day, their perfumes were not marked down at all. if there is even a 10% sale, that's all the justification i need to buy antaeus, platinum egoiste and pour monsieur
