Anyone have any good tricks for cleaning suede and/or repairing cracked/peeling pleather?

I have a pair of NB237's I really like that have both, the suede isn't in bad knick but is looking a little stained/marked. Followed some tips to brush, then rub with a rubber, then work out marks with some isopropyl on a cloth but I'm not that taken by the results. White pleather is looking a little cracked on the instep though again not terrible, any way to patch it up again?
