look at the strap on the expensive one, there exactly the same, yes the strap is cheap, and your only paying for the buckle, but its still strong enough to hold your entire weight.
This strap is used on lots of expedition, out doorsy belts.
Remember you have to have the strap around 1" for it to fit in most fashion belt loops ok.
tactical ones are 1.75" and are a lot more beefy, but wont fit in your normal trousers.
