How much are you willing to spend for a good pair of shoes?

Try to go with leather sole if possible, and while suede is nice, it’s not so fromal, so I would recommend leather (shell cordovan If you can afford it and is of your liking).
As for suede, in my opinion it goes better on loafers and boots.

Although they're a bit too formal, I always liked wholecut shoes, the brown ones give a bit more versatility
