What I was trying to say earlier is that social progressivism is a proxy for economic Marxism.

Societal struggle and "cultural Marxism" has simply replaced class struggle and traditional Marxism. Because they realized that the class struggle rhetoric didn't inspire a subversive workers revolution in the prosperous nations, only in the comparatively impoverished pre-industrial Russia.

It's all the same rhetoric though, black/white, man/women instead of master/slave, all an extension of Marxist dialectics.

Of course assuming equality between these groups (which the New Left, Frankfurt school, Standard Social Science Model, Critical theory etc. laid the groundwork for) the only reason they remain disparate can be the capitalist socio-economic paradigm we inhabit, ergo socialist revolution.
