You yourself need to learn some critical thinking. 70 year old Soviet propaganda does not make reality. There is nothing suggesting that the leading politicians were *predominantly* gay. The math does not check out.
There are many things appealing to gays that are not inherently homosexual. Hyper masculinity is hot to fags. Bikers, cops, soldiers, boots, leather and jockstraps. They are obsessed with playing masculinity up or getting masculinity injected in their assholes. It does not make warrior cults or camaraderie or structures of authority or a well shined boot or a flatteringly cut piece of uniform or any of that inherently homosexual or the man who wears a fucking uniform of his state a cocksucker.
Most gay men supported social democrats or communists, the latter at least until Stalin decided that the gays were behind fascism and send them to the gulag. Propaganda you just have to repeat to this day it seems.
