What perception do all the main designers usually have?

I sometimes hear you guys comment on how, for example, Versace is extremely tacky shit that can only be pulled off by rappers and that it has a bad image.

Well, what about other, better designers?

Is there any particular brand image attached to Raf, Yohji, Jil Sander, Ann D, Givenchy, Rick, Saint Laurent, MMJ, etc?
Any garments, designs or patterns they're really well known for?

What about the more conventional designers, such as GA, Hermès, Loro Piana...? Do they have some kind of specific reputation?
