I never look into making actual profit when I resell old stuff but I think it's easier to justify buying expensive pieces when you know you can get over half of the price back when you resell it a little later. There's definitely a lot of demand for second-hand designer pieces and if you can sell them as nearly-new, you can sometimes get like 80% of what you paid, back.

I've never sold anything on /fa/'s B/S/T threads so I don't really know what's the standard way to make deals here but there are a lot of fashion forums where you can buy and sell stuff as well as all the basic e-bay etc
