The two fits aren't there for resemblance, they are there for inspiration on shorts, obviously what she's trying to obtain. The shorts she has on fit well, they remind me of high waist denims back in the 90's.

Refer to my old image, it's to also show the difference between shorts, and how they can/should fit depending on her goal.
