Advice on where to get inexpensive 100% wool suits? I'm a commercial banker so I wear one every day. I've been buying Spier and Mackay but their new half-canvas stuff looks awful. I'd like to keep under $600.

And yes, the stereotypes about us are true. Every time I go to a corporate meeting with other bankers from the region I'm absolutely appalled at how terrible everyone looks. It's nothing but shiny fused Alfani suits with pin stripes and bedraggled ties with four-in-hand knots that look like they're only ever loosened and hung up as-is.

Spier and Mackay make a totally decent suit for under $500 full price.

Just got my new OTR spier and mackay suit in. Quality is extremely impressive for $398 USD at full price. Came carefully packaged in a cloth garment bag with a raw hem, buttons already attached and nice seam allowances hidden away for tailoring.
