I'll tell you what I did, and I'm a guy with 6.75in wrists. I saved up and bought a 4 digit Sub date. However, I think in today's diverse watch buyers market I'd be dishonest to you by not offering an alternative to what's often called a cliche. My second pick would be a Halios Seaforth Gen II Abyss Blue with Date. Probably the second best watch I've ever owned, and cool as all hell at a reasonable used $800 depending on condition. If you see one on sale with the Ginault Oyster bracelet I'd advise you snatch it up right away.
