Not sure if I should ask here or start a thread on /diy/, but does anyone here fix their own watches? I have an old Pobeda that has a busted mainspring, and I like it too much to just buy another. I see a lot of cheap parts-only movements on Ebay I could grab to practice on, but I have no idea where the best starter tools are or what kind of money I should set aside. I know Harbor Frieght has the parts for taking apart the case and undoing the links on the band, but that's as much as I want to trust their tools.

If I should just take this to /diy/, just let me know.
