I really like that dial and the hands, looks really nice. The watch looks like it's in really good shape too, the movement doesn't look like it's 50 years old at all. I would totally get that serviced and wear it. I don't think you even need to bother doing any cosmetic stuff to it besides polishing the crystal, should be good to go with just a movement overhaul.

Our watches are both from the same year, by the way.

Servicing can be pretty expensive but vintage omegas are great watches and they're beautiful. I inherited mine so I didn't have to hunt through ebay but good luck with that, make sure you do your homework thoroughly before you buy some frankensteined mess or a watch that's falling apart and wait a while if you need to until something good comes up for sale.

If it needs servicing (it probably does) then I mailed mine to Govberg watch repair and it was expensive and it took a long time but they did a pretty good job and used real omega replacement parts where necessary. I don't know any other good places but I'm sure there's a lot, maybe you can find one where you live so you don't have to mail it off.

I also bought a vintage Seiko king quartz, if you're not too much of a snob to buy quartz then those are a lot easier since they're less delicate and you can get a hell of a high end watch for cheap because everyone turns up their noses at quartz.

Dark brown smooth leather master race. Unfortunately I don't have any photos where you can see the whole strap. I bought this one from Hirsch and I think it was called the Ascot or something like that, if you want to get the exact same one and be matching strap bros.

I really think dark brown is the best fit, I've seen photos of Constellations with black leater and it looks odd to me. You could also look into an alligator pattern if you're into that, but it'll cost more if you get real alligator or some other exotic leather.
