hate to ask it here because thread's such a shitshow but I don't think it really deserves its own thread. My girlfriend complains that my beard is very scratchy but insists that I don't shave it because she likes playing with it and how it looks. I've been washing it with this beard wash I got from the drug store but it still feels silly to me that beards require a special shampoo/soap to get clean. Anyway I'm not sure it's actually done much for the softness.

TLDR my beard is too scratchy for my girlfriend, how do I make it soft? Would normal hair conditioner work? pic unrelated
