i probably wanted to impress girls or something and interest grew out of there

yo guys, i'm going to trim my beard myself to skimp on barber costs. Got myself actual scissors meant for hair and a straight razor etc.
Anyone have good sources on how to trim full facial hair so i wouldn't fuck it up?
Currently have like a 2.5 or so inch beard.
