Woah well excuse me princess.

Yeap, her womenswear stuff is on an entirely different level. I own a decent amount of menswear from her and will probably continue to buy more but I'll never get to wear her best stuff because it's all on the womenswear side.

>do you work in fashion yet

About to start the interview process soon. Currently updating my resume and going over my portfolio. Need to do a couple of things, like for example I have some womenswear pieces that I never got photographed because I did menswear for my graduate collection and hired a male model. But I still made a bit of womenswear and I think some of it is actually really cool and worth showing off, if only to show that I have some range and can do other stuff besides street / techwear.

I have my eyes set on a certain city, and actually a certain company as well but while a year ago they had an open position that I could have filled perfectly (assistant / junior designer) they don't have anything like that available now. So what I'm thinking is while they still might be able to find a place for me it won't be as easy as before where I could get a full time salaried position. I might have to take something part time or even an internship so I'm considering what else I can do on top of that. Wouldn't mind working as a sales associate in a nice store for the connections + discount + retail experience. Also thinking about going into styling, helping someone out on shoots or something. Honestly I'd take a position in just about anything fashion related as long as it's hands on. Writing is something else I'm considering and there's a few magazines in this city that I'm also very interested in a long with a lot of great stores that have their own blogs.

>where if you're strongly financially supported by such an amazing group it's unlikely finances are going to be anissue.

If his line was tanking in the first couple seasons it doesn't matter how deep his backers pockets are, they either would have made radical changes or dropped him. Once again this is a business.

>you say that but have you seen how gareth and thamanyah are doing? they're losing a lot of what they once were imo, early days though.

Did you read nothing of what I wrote about Todd Lynn? Pugh and Thamanyah have gotten a vastly disproportionate amount of press considering the age and maturity of their brands. With their business models it typically takes 10-15 years to get truly established and start drawing in real recognition and profit. They are doing absolutely fine and both have incredibly sharp backers. Whatever little seasonal dips they have means nothing. They're stocked in some of the best stores on the planet and thanks to Owenscorp are meeting deliveries and keeping up to snuff quality wise (which is the two hardest things for young designers). They're going to continue to slowly grow their brands and the fact that they aren't growing at the rate of someone like Damir Doma means nothing.

>ethos is important in design vision, a spoiled twerp is unlikely to suceed.

No actually, maybe in your make believe fantasy world where good triumphs over evil but in reality how you personally feel about someone means very little regarding whether they succeed or not.
