I feel you there. When i was younger i used to just slap a band shirt on, leather jacket, wear ripped up jeans, and motorcycle boots and that was that.

Recently decided to "dress my age" and get rid of all of the clothes I've been hanging onto for the past decade. Pic related is main inspo right now, I've been trying to incorporate elements of "dark academia" into it as well just so it doesn't seem like I'm such a tryhard. Although I have a full beard and long curly hair so 70% of the time someone makes a comment about how i look like a pirate (not necessarily a bad thing though, women have really dug it), so obviously I need to do a little work to get the aesthetic I want. Need to find a nice pair of Chelsea boots or winklepickers or something, I'm still wearing my combat boots everywhere.

Been getting a lot of 'mires though, went to the bar last week and had women coming up to me instead of me going after them.
