It is, but the SKX is clearly cooler than the sub.. Sub is more neat and sleek in a way, but lacks the rugged appeal of the SKX imo.. At least the price isn't as big of a rip off as the sub.

Also, I think some of the newer subs are a lot uglier than the one in your pic, which is really at the peak imo.

Sure, if you don't mind paying 8 grand for a steel dive watch.. That also grew pigfat in the past decade or so, and has that stupidly large case with the weirdly skinny bracelet (probably another generation or 2 before they enlarge those too) and has just 1 sentence less text in it's paragraph.

Though I'll give it to them, at least it doesn't say anything monumentally stupid like 'SELF-WINDING ROTOR'..
