Absolutely. The sun gives life.

What are you wearing today, Fren?

I disagree. I've found several variants. There are friends who also are 'into watches', so it can be fun. Not in a comparison way, but more in terms of seeing watches you don't own but other people are enthusiastic about, and sharing the 'hobby', or consumerism. Then there's another set that simply involves women who recognize expensive watches. If it says 'Rolex' or 'Omega', they will be interested. This is mainly a European thing, specifically with girls from countries that might not be financially affluent compared to others. It's real, but if you haven't traveled much or interacted with social groups outside of your country, then it might not be something you have experienced firsthand.

I've also seen that grip taught, but quite honestly if you fire it, it'll slide quick against the thumb and if you're not careful the skin will catch and tear. It's one of the many reasons why you should always use gloves when firing.

I don't hold any of those positions, but who knows.

Glad to hear! I had to take mine to my watchmaker as soon as I got it, but after he cleaned out a few things (yes, it was straight from China and had very poor quality control), it runs 0.5+ per day. Admittedly, I haven't worn it much, but I can't fault the design. The original strap mine came on was trash, so I too swapped it out. It's a great watch to 'try out' having a manual-wind column-wheel chronograph.

Prices should continue to go down, but I don't think it'll be for another 3 years until we'll see what we saw around 2013 or so, where OP, Datejusts, and Air Kings were under retail grey market, and the only ones that people wanted were SS Daytonas and the odd GMT.

Surprisingly, it's about a few elements: relative rarity, relative capability, and aesthetic beauty. I will pay for these things. I definitely paid more than 1k for this...

No, they shouldn't. Citizen did one better. The original Omegas sucked batteries hard.

Got it, thanks for the clarification.

They do, you just have to spend money.

Affordability is a problem with watches. Didn't someone do a Venn diagram back in the day with 'price - aesthetics - performance'?
