Yeah this was just a cheap one from ikea when I moved in. Do you happen to a have a good guide for lighting? Imo good lighting and lamp style is the hardest part about interior decoration...

Its a carpet. Albeit a fairly soft one, itd still be too uncomfortable to sit on.

Something I took from my parents house when I moved out. Its sloppy and a bit worn out, but super comfy and at the time crazy expensive. If I get a really good new one Ill take it though...

I see your point. It has some sentimental value since I bought it in morocco, but yeah it doesnt really serve a purpose... A larger rug has the problem of locking me in with my desk chair, which I dont know if its a problem or not... Also Im poor as fuck so expensive stuff like a nice carpet, I have to wait till I get lucky and get a really good deal...

Picrelated is what Im planning to build and put in the corner to the left of the sideboard so store the music equipment and have some more storeroom. Also probably some form of open bookshelves above the radiator. Once I have enough cash to buy the wood Ill get started...

Yeah the sideboard should be dead centered on that wall. But I have to get the music stuff out the way first... Other than that I really like the layout right now, but maybe only cause I changed it all up a few weeks ago (rotated desk, bed and couch counterclockwise in the room). This one feel like the most space.
