well boys this is it. sending the watch to FOSSIL, owners of ZODIAC, was my last ditch effort to get my heirloom watch to work. They didn't even bother to bill me the invoice, they just sent it back with a fucking highlighter over "no spare parts" on a piece of paper. Expected better, turned me off ever buying a current ZODIAC desu.

so this is in the hands of FOSSL FRANCE now. It already cost me 12 € to send, and it'll cost me 38 € to just get the invoice

i assume it'll cost a lot or they'll straight up tell me it's not salvagable

for the story, my grand father bought it in 1954 for his wedding

it has a power reserve indicator, very cool
the strap is elastic

>Fucking kek why won't watchmakers repair your Zodiac?
idk they refused to repair it when grand dad asked, back in time

and my own guy refused to do it too
didn't elaborate further
he's kind of an ass desu

guess it's too fucked

sourcing an entire movement would be around 300€ on ebay when i looked for it 10 years ago, now probably double that
