The original Omega Seamaster 300 that this new one is based on had radium lume.
To create radium lume, radium was mixed with zinc sulfide, which naturally has a yellowish-brownish tint because of the sulphur content (hence 'sulfide').

So the lume on the original 1957 Seamaster 300 would have looked very much like the lume on the modern variant: slightly yellowish-brown. Maybe a little lighter than the modern variant's lume.

Oh, and the modern SM300 doesn't have a painted dial, it's matte ceramic.
