I saw a guy look decent in one, once. It was dark brown and had some details on it. The kinds that suggest motorcycle use but do not conceal the fact it is not for wearing on a motorcycle.
He was handsome, quite smart and forthright in manner.

I would say people saying you can never pull it off are mostly speaking for themselves: they know they can't and assume you can't either.

But, let's be real: if you are in any doubt then you know you can't wear one. You just don't want to believe it because you have taken a fancy to them for whatever reason.
