Thanks for the advice. I will not wear that outfit out. Too many paterns and also apparently the fishnets are too much like a tranny prostitute (?).

If anyone is willing to help with another question I have, I could also use some advice on when tailoring is helpful and when you are "fighting" too hard against your body type/what naturally looks best on you.

I saw a pretty dress and coat and bag outfit today at Brooks Brothers (pic related, the outfit on the mannequin) and tried the dress on. I was sad because it didn't fit right at all - an 8 fit my waist and shoulders and a 12 fit my hips and bust. Would getting the 12 tailored in the shoulders and waist make a flattering dress for me or would it be a waste of money?
