Valyrians are based on a mix of the aryans*/proto-indo-europeans coming to Europe, as well as their partial descendants, the Germanic angles, invading the british Isles. The aryans had a long history of invading and ruling over other peoples - they did the same all the way from England to India. With them they brought an agnostic existentialist philosphy, as is evident everywhere from the aryan sanskrit rigveda, to zarathustra and the early norse belief in the gods being created by the world and not vice versa. This freedom to choose your own meaning of life is in starch contrast to semitic beliefs. The nazis often quoted the bible; "the kingdom of god is within man", a phrase they believed was stolen from aryan philosphy.

*It should be noted that after the nazis used the aryan heritage to justify their ethnic cleansing the term aryan fell out of use. 'Aryan' is aryan/proto-indo-european and means 'noble', a term the aryans used for themselves for a while, which shows how they viewed their role. Science has tried to dismiss the aryan migration theory for obvious reasons, and it wasn't until 2014/2015 that genetic studies confirmed the aryan theory on the origins of indo-european languages.
