I'm considering tracking down a 36mm Explorer but

and my years of hunting microshitters has given me a deep aversion to them. Should I expect to be disappointed if I grab one, or start trying on the 39mm models at an AD? Worried that one would be too big on my tiny 6-and-a-bit inch wrists, for comparison a SARB017 Alpinist is a tad big for my taste.
